Current Status

The Olive Mill has a place in the history of the valleys, and only ceased being a working mill, producing olive oil, in the early 60’s. The machinery and workings are fully intact in the mill and in excellent condition. The Property was bought by an American Professor teaching in Paris, who stumbled on the property by chance when he took a trip to the Côte d’Azur. He fell in love with the area especially the more genuine and authentic Italian villages. He restored the Mill and turned it into a unique and comfortable home. When he retired, he decided to turn it into his main residence and stayed there until he passed away in the mid-90’s. The property has not been lived in since and is just waiting for new owners to lovingly restore and return it to its original splendour. The Mill is structurally sound and a solid stone building.
